STMA’s Keefer takes 1st at Dakota Relays

The Knights had a handful of athletes finish in the top 10 of their respective events at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls, South Dakota over the weekend.

Anna Keefer had the most success, taking first place in the long jump (19-00.00) and 100 meter dash (12.05) events. Keefer also finished third in the triple jump.

Among other high finishers for the Knights, Lexie Nelson got second place in the high jump (5-04.00), Katelyn Tschida finished third in the long jump (17-10.25), and Sophia Weston finished fifth in the triple jump (36-06.75).

Xavier Thurman finished 11th in the triple jump (42-03.25) and 10th in the high jump (6-03.00).

Relay teams also performed well for the Knights, with the 4×200 girls team finishing third (1:42.78) and 4×800 boys finishing second (8:12.69).

The Knights ran in the True Team section meet up in Brainerd Tuesday.
