A Ladies Night Out Comedy Night is coming to the Twin Cities Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at The Grove Church, 8585 Rice Lake Road in Maple Grove. Ladies, laughter, gourmet coffee and dessert all rolled into an evening of hilarious fun! Comedian Amy Barnes will be appearing at The Grove Church sharing her brand of comedy that every woman, wife and mother can relate to.
Barnes started her stand-up career in Seattle, appearing at comedy clubs in her spare time and working days as an aerospace engineer. A quick rise to fame inspired her to pack her bags and move to Hollywood. From there it was on to Comedy Central followed by a recurring role on the National Lampoon network where she found her niche as a writer, penning material for Bonnie Hunt, Jack Black, Morgan Freeman and others. Barnes married sitcom writer and comedian Jerry Miner in 2002.
Ladies are encouraged to get a group of their friends together to enjoy a night out filled with comedy, desserts, and side-slitting laughs. Tickets come in pairs, two for $30, and include gourmet coffee and a delicious dessert. More information at mygrovechurch.org or call 763-420-6485.
