Former St. Vincent’s, OSH wrestler places at New Mexico state tourney

St. Vincent de Paul School alumni and former Osseo High School wrestler Dominic Smith earned bronze medalist honors with a third-place finish at the 2017 New Mexico State High School Wrestling Championships, Feb. 17-18.

Smith completed his junior season for St. Michael’s Catholic High School of Santa Fe with an overall 38-9 record, including 25 falls.

Dominic is the youngest son of former St. Vincent’s and Osseo High assistant wrestling coach Bob Smith, who retired from St. Vincent’s after teaching there for 35 years. The family moved to New Mexico this past summer.
