Maple Grove Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city during the weeks of Feb. 5 through Feb. 18. Refer to the city website crime mapping section for additional details for the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and vehicle theft.
Sunday, Feb. 5
12000 block of Elm Creek Blvd – There was a report of a person that had been assaulted inside a business; officers arrived, interviewed parties, who did not want to file charges.
13000 block of Bass Lake Road – Officers responded to a report of a party passing counterfeit currency at a business, party left before officers arrived. Officer following up on suspect vehicle.
8600 block of Valley Forge Lane – There was a report of two vehicles with broken windows and items stolen from inside; while parked at business. There are no suspects at this time.
13000 block of 96th Place – Officers responded to a report of a person falling down a flight of stairs; officers arrived and assisted medics to transport person to hospital.
Amara McVay, 19, of Farmington was cited for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana on Bass Lake Road and I-494.
Caleb Brantley, 21, of Farmington was cited for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on Bass Lake Road and I-494.
Monday, Feb. 6
16000 block of 101st Avenue – There was a report of copper wire being stolen from a residence. There are no suspects at this time.
8700 block of Fish Lake Road – Officers responded to a report of a child stuck in a baby swing; because of cold weather chains cut so they could go inside where the fire department cut the swing off child.  No injuries.
9400 block of Dunkirk Lane – There was a report of a person concealing items and leaving business without paying. Thomas Gilley, 22, of Isanti was arrested for theft.
7000 block of Inland Lane – There was a homeowner out walking their dog and they saw a vehicle back into their driveway. Made contact with party selling meat out of van; officers could not locate vehicle.
Erick Randolph, 29, of Maple Grove was cited for careless driving, third degree DWI, third degree DWI with an aggravated factor and second degree DUI on the 73rd Avenue North and Trenton Avenue North.
Tuesday, Feb. 7
11000 block of 73rd Avenue – Officers responded to a report of a person filling tank full of gas and driving off without paying; no suspects at this time.
8200 block of Revel Wood Place – There was a report of outgoing mail stolen from mailbox and later recovered in stolen vehicle where a party was arrested; ongoing investigation.
16000 block of County Road 30 – There was a report of a window being smashed out of vehicle parked in business parking lot and items stolen from inside; no suspects at this time.
Robert Lewis, 39, of Oakdale was cited for third degree possession of a controlled substance – cocaine, an arrest warrant, smuggling contraband articles into prison and driving after suspension on I-94 and Weaver Lake Road.
Wednesday, Feb. 8
13000 block of Weaver Lake Road – Officers responded to a report of displayed glasses stolen from inside store and suspect left in vehicle; officers following up for charges.
12000 block of 97th Avenue – There was a report of suspicious vehicle parked in front of resident’s house; officers made contact with the same parties selling meat informed about solicitor ordinance, again, and would be arrested for another complaint.
Thursday, Feb. 9
10000 block of County Road 81 – There was a report of gate chain cut and lock on trailer cut, several tools stolen; no suspects at this time.
12000 block of 82nd Place – Officers responded to a report that a group of people were pounding on a residence like they were trying to get in; on arrival officers made contact with group who were at their friends house and eventually was let in.
Patrick Mix, 32, of Maple Grove was cited for interfering with a 911 call and two counts of domestic assault on the 7200 block of Quantico Lane.
Friday, Feb. 10
7800 block of Elm Creek Blvd – There was a report by bank employees there to open, occupied vehicle in the parking; officers made contact with parties who were waiting for bank to open.
Vernon Haymon, 40 of Mandan, North Dakota, was cited for fourth degree DUI, fourth degree DWI, careless driving and possession of marijuana on the 8600 block of I-94.
Deangelo Mcgee, 20, of Brooklyn Center was cited for shoplifting and an outstanding warrant on the 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane.
Leo Clinkscale, 18, of Brooklyn Center was cited for shoplifting and providing a false name to a police officer on the 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane.
Saturday, Feb. 11
8000 block of Wedgewood Lane – Officers responded to a report of two suspects that had stolen property from business last week, were in business concealing items; officers made contact with three suspects in a vehicle leaving parking lot and arrested all three for felony theft. John Perez, 25 of Chaska, Lynda Morales, 22, of Chaska and Adam Williams, 26, of New Hope were arrested for shoplifting.
13000 block of Bass Lake Road – There was a report of person filling tank with gas and leaving without paying; officer following up with registered owner of vehicle.
During this time period there were 27 property damage traffic accidents and one property damage injury traffic accident.
Sunday, Feb. 12
16000 block of 96th Avenue – There was a report of a person concealing items and running out of business without paying; officers located several employees and officers arrested Jeromey Wengel, 39, of Minneapolis for possessing a controlled substance and shoplifting.
6200 block of Sycamore Lane – Officers responded to a report of a person in parking lot of business shaking; officers arrived, party having a seizure. Refused ambulance and waited for ride home.
16000 block of 96th Avenue – While on routine patrol, an officer observed a person walking around a closed businesses; officer made contact with homeless person looking for cigarette butts. No crime occurred.
Robin Cloutier, 46, of Maple Grove was cited for fourth degree assault and obstructing the legal process on the 11900 block of Central Park Way.
Adam Schindler, 20, of Maple Grove was cited for fifth degree possession of a controlled substance – hallucinogen, possessing a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possessing liquor under the age of 21 and a center lane traffic violation on 80th Circle North and Elm Creek Boulevard.
Devin May, 20, of Maple Grove was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and alcohol under the age of 21 on 80th Circle North and Elm Creek Boulevard.
Matthew Theisen, 20, of Maple Grove was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on 80th Circle North and Elm Creek Boulevard.
Monday, Feb. 13
8000 block of Cottonwood Lane – There was a report of a vehicle keyed while parked overnight in driveway; officer located several areas with fresh scratch marks on vehicle.  Possible suspect being investigated.
12000 block of Weaver Lake Road – Officers responded to a reported assault inside a business; officers made contact with parties, but no charges.
13000 block of 78th Avenue – There was a report of a person in and out of consciousness, officers located person on bed, but not responding. The party was transported to hospital by ambulance.
9000 block of Zircon Court – Officers responded to a report of a neighbor’s garage door left open during the night, officers made contact with homeowner and closed garage door.
Mia Atlas, 19, of Brooklyn Center was cited for fourth degree DUI, two counts of fourth degree DWI, improper lane use, driving without headlights, careless driving and drinking and driving underage in Brooklyn Center.
Tuesday, Feb. 14
13000 block of 90th Place – While walking, party reported being jumped and items stolen from them; officers made contact with victim who knew who assaulted him. The case is being investigated.
12000 block of Bass Lake Road – While doing routine patrol in area of businesses, an officer found an open rear door of one business; key holder notified and door secured.
11000 block of Main Street – There was a report of a purse being left behind at business and turned into the front desk, now stolen; officers learned person possibly overheard conversations with owner and claimed the purse.  No suspects.
Nathan Deblois, 47, of Minneapolis was cited for driving after suspension and possessing a small amount of marijuana on I-94 and Maple Grove Parkway.
Andrew Erickson, 27, of Maple Grove for not having insurance in Maple Grove.
Wednesday, Feb. 15
13000 block of 81st Avenue – There was a report of damage to vehicle parked at residence; officer saw both side mirrors broken off, paint damage and one tire sliced.  No suspects at this time.
Fish Lake Road & Sycamore Lane – Officers responded to a report of a person looking for help and wanting a ride; officers made contact with party who was bleeding from injuries to knees. Determined party in accident by hitting tree and walking away. Paramedics arrived and cleared officers.
11000 block of 92nd Avenue – There was a report of a suspect damaging vehicle parked in driveway of residence; officers made contact, photos of damage taken.  Case being investigated.
Zachary Kraus, 18, of Maple Grove was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on 89th Avenue North and Oakview Lane North.
Thursday, Feb. 16
16000 block of 96th Avenue – While on routine patrol, an officer found stolen vehicle out of Minneapolis park at a gas station pump. Observed driver go inside who was later arrested for the stolen vehicle. Anthony Bell, 25, of Prior Lake was arrested for possessing stolen property.
7700 block of Yucca Lane – There was a report of window and side light broken at residence; no suspects at this time.
Friday, Feb. 17
12000 block of Bass Lake Road – While conducting routine patrol of a business, an officer located an open door; nothing seemed out of place, door secured. Management notified.
12000 block of 84th Place – There was a report of a suspect gaining entry into attached garage and going through cars and stealing several items; no suspects at this time.
8200 block of Norwood Lane – Officers responded to a report of an unlocked vehicle parked in driveway had been gone through; no damage, nothing taken, the front passenger door left ajar.
Saturday, Feb. 18
9500 block of Blackoaks Lane – There was a report of a victim assaulted by unknown suspect inside business. The suspect then ran out of business; obtained photo of suspect and receipt of purchase to possibly ID suspect.
Elm Creek Blvd & Revere Lane – An officer observed vehicle fail to maintain single lane, driving over lane markers; officer made traffic stop and arrested driver for DWI.
8200 block of Revere Lane – While on routine patrol officer observed vehicle parked by locked gate, displaying no trespass sign at business; observed two parties on top of bluff who came down.  Parties cited for trespassing.
Pedro Reyes-Flores, 26 of Brooklyn Park was cited for second degree DUI, third degree DUI, two counts of second degree DWI and careless driving on Elm Creek Boulevard and Revere Lane North.
During this time period there were 28 property damage traffic accidents and two property damage injury accidents.
