Osseo-Maple Grove Knights of Columbus take part in Coats for Kids Project

The Osseo-Maple Grove Knights of Columbus from St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church distributed over 400 new coats and 200 snow pants to six local elementary schools in the Osseo School District. Principal Phil Sadler and school counselor Cindy Wilson of Fair Oaks Elementary in Brooklyn Park were on hand to collect the snow pants and coats along with Paul Greninger and Russ Funk of the Knights of Columbus.

The Osseo-Maple Knights Council obtained $11,000 in donations from a variety of local organizations and businesses to make this project a success. The KCs appreciate the donations from: St. Vincent de Paul CCW, Maple Grove Lions, Osseo Lions, Osseo Fire Department Relief Association, Maple Grove Firefighter’s Relief Association, Dick’s Bar in Osseo, Premier Bank in Osseo and Transport Graphics in Rogers.
This is the second year the Osseo-Maple Grove Knights of Columbus have had the opportunity to distribute coats in the community. Though the public’s generosity the KCs have provided warmth to 989 young folks during the past two years.
