LETTER: A season of thanks

To the Editor:

As the holiday season continues, on behalf of CROSS and the families we serve, I wanted to take an opportunity to share how grateful we are for outpouring of generosity during the annual Give to the Max Day on Nov. 13.

We appreciate those who gave to CROSS and helped spread the word about during the 24 hour day of giving. Your gifts, added to the matching dollars, resulted in a donation day of $37,635. Statewide, CROSS ended in 20th place for the top 100 for medium non-profits and ended only $1,035 short of making the top 100 overall list.

As a non-profit organization serving families and individuals living in Rogers, Maple Grove, Osseo, Champlin (west), Corcoran and Dayton, the donations will help in supporting a variety of programs to provide food, clothing, and housing assistance for those in need.

A special thank you to those local organizations and businesses that made it possible by providing a match donation. Thanks to donors, volunteers, staff, and community members, CROSS raised 100 percent of the match with the grand total donated to CROSS on Give to the Max Day of $37,635.

We appreciate you joining the spirit of the giving on Nov. 13, a day when more than $18 million was donated by Minnesotans to thousands of charities. We are all truly blessed!

As the holiday season continues, we would like to invite you to remember CROSS. If you or your family is in need in support, if you have a passion for volunteering, or would like to make a monetary donation, please consider checking out CROSSservices.org or call 763-425-1050 for more information.

Thank you for supporting CROSS and the local families we exist to serve!
