The Rogers Royals tennis team has won five of six matches as they embark on a busy schedule prior to the start of school.
The Royals won three matches at Coon Rapids on Saturday, 7-0 over Hibbing, 5-2 over Coon Rapids and 5-2 over Cretin-Derham Hall.
The Royals journeyed to Litchfield on Wednesday, where they lost to Hutchinson 4-3, beat Litchfield 5-2, and beat Simley 4-3.
Kaitlyn Conlin has a 2-4 record at No. 1 singles, including two third-set tiebreaker losses. Samantha Fitzpatrick is 4-2 at No. 2 singles, Lauren Dunham 5-1 at No. 3, and Alana Sperr 5-1 at No. 4.
In doubles, Kianna Koeppe and Liz Rubbelke are 4-2 at No. 1 doubles and Amanda Penick and Emily Spaniel are 3-3 at No. 2, while Savannah Seiter and Hannah Stolba have won all six matches at No. 3.
Rogers will take on Spring Lake Park, Blaine and St. Michael-Albertville on Friday at Spring Lake Park, then will meet Anoka and Roseville Area on Saturday at Anoka. They’ll also play in a Brainerd tournament Monday and host Maple Grove in their home opener Wednesday, all prior to school starting Sept. 2.
