North Shore gym club sets 40 anniversary celebration Sept. 6

ROCK_NorthShoreGymLOGONorth Shore Gymnastics will be celebrating 40 years in existence on Saturday, Sept. 6 with an open house, 5K run kid’s fun run and an alumni presentation.

The birthday party starts at 10:30 a.m. at the club, 5555 Pioneer Creek Drive in

Maple Plain. The 5K run starts at 9 a.m. and the kid’s fun run starts at 10 a.m.

The 5K course will start and finish at North Shore Gymnastics Association and includes two loops around the Orono Discovery Center. Cost to enter the 5K is $25 if pre-registered by Aug. 30 and $30 on race day. Pick up packet at 8:30 a.m. race day. Cost includes commemorative T-shirt and awards to top male and female finishers.

Kid’s fun run is $20 if pre-registered by Aug. 30 and $25 on race day. Cost includes commemorative T-shirt, participant medal and a coupon for an open gym.

The fun run course will be one lap around the building. Parents may accompany child. Please do not bring bikes, scooters skateboards, strollers or skates in the fun run for the safety of the participants.

In March 1974, North Shore Gymnastics became a Minnesota 501C3 non-profit Corporation, providing quality gymnastics instruction to children in the Orono and surrounding communities.
