Area National Night Out/Night to Unite events planned

Maple Grove gets ready to kick off National Night Out

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, Maple Grove, along with over 16,000 communities nationwide, will be celebrating National Night Out.

The Maple Grove Police Department invites the public to join forces with them and unite against crime.

Once again, Maple Grove Police and Fire will sponsor a free hotdog lunch and emergency equipment show at the Maple Grove Community Center from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be dozens of vendors present with a wide variety of safety information and activities for children and adults.

And, brought back by popular demand, people will have the rare opportunity to dunk an officer in a dunk tank with all proceeds donated to Beyond the Yellow Ribbon. The Maple Grove Police Department invites residents to come and help it kick off National Night Out 2014.
