The Wright County Soccer club’s U12 C3 girls soccer team split two games at last week’s Minnesota Youth Soccer Association’s state tournament in Lakeville.

WCS took a 10-1-1 record to state under the direction of coaches Andy Frechette and Josh Hutchcraft. After losing 3-2 to Shakopee last night, the team ended the season with a 2-1 victory over Chippewa Falls.

Frechette said his team fell behind 1-0 but battled for the win. He adds, “Though we did not move on to the championship game, we had a fantastic season and quite the accomplishment.”
