Three of the six Osseo School Board seats will be up for election this fall. The filing period begins Tuesday, July 29, and runs through Tuesday, Aug. 12.
During the filing period, district residents who are interested in running for school board can file affidavits of candidacy in the superintendent’s office during regular office hours, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On the final day, Aug. 12, the office will remain open to receive affidavits of candidacy until 5 p.m. The superintendent’s office is located in the Educational Service Center, 11200 93rd Ave. N., Maple Grove.
The filing fee for school board seats is $2. A candidate must be an eligible voter, must be 21 years of age or more on assuming office, must have been a resident of the school district from which the candidate seeks election for 30 days before the general election, and must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same primary or general election.
