Hwy. 241 crash kills Monticello man

A Monticello man has died and one other was injured after a two-car crash Monday, July 14, at Hwy. 241 and ODay Avenue in St. Michael.

Minnesota State Patrol identified the victim as David Larson, 70.

The crash occurred at 6:27 a.m.

The State Patrol said vehicle one, a 2001 Ford pickup driven by Bruce Plante, 54, of Buffalo, was northbound on Hwy. 241 and that vehicle two, at 2000 Toyota Camry driven by Vincent Villavicencio, 54, of Monticello, was southbound on Hwy. 241 turning left onto ODay Avenue when vehicle one hit vehicle two broadside in the intersection.

Villavicencio sustained a non life threatening injury. Plante had no apparent injury.

Assisting agencies included St. Michael Fire and Rescue Department, Albertville Fire and Rescue Department and Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
