Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from May 16, 2014 through June 13, 2014.

 

Arrests

Osseo Police arrested a 33-year-old Plymouth man for fifth degree domestic assault on May 30 after police were called to a disturbance on the 500 block of Third Ave. N.W. The man was evaluated at Hennepin County Medical Center for a possible drug overdose then booked at the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 55-year-old New Hope man on May 31 for driving after revocation. He was released with a citation.

A 45-year-old Maple Grove women was arrested on June 2 on the 400 block of County Road 81 for driving with a revoked license and no insurance on her vehicle. She was released with a citation and her vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police responded to an assault on the 300 block of Sixth Ave. N.E. on June 4 and arrested a 15-year -old female from Coon Rapids. The case has been forwarded to the Hennepin County Juvenile Courts.

A 24-year-old Nisswa women was arrested on June 10 at County Road 81 & Jefferson Highway for driving after revocation. She was released with a court citation.

Incidents:

Osseo Police responded to a domestic dispute on May 13 on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. Both parties were separated and interviewed. Neither party wished to press charges and the incident was mediated by police.

A cell phone was reported stolen from the Osseo High School on May 13 from the women’s locker room. The case is under investigation.

A cell phone was reported stolen from the Osseo High School on May 14 from the men’s locker room. There are no suspects. The phone has been entered into a nationwide database as stolen.

A theft of a trailer was reported stolen to Osseo Police on May 16 from a parking lot on the 200 block of County Road 81. There are no suspects. The trailer has been entered into a nationwide data base.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a 95-year-old woman on May 25th that was intoxicated and unable to care for herself on the 500 block of Central Avenue. The woman was transported back to the care facility she lives at and was released to the staff nurse.

Osseo Police responded to a suspicious person on May 25 on the 300 block of Sixth Ave. N.E. The suspect was located and transported to a care facility where he lived. There are no charges pending.

Osseo Police responded to a loud party on the 50 block of Central Ave. on May 25. Contact was made with the host and they were advised to keep it down. No citations were issued.

A unsecure door to a business was found by Osseo Police on May 26 at a business on the 300 block of Central Ave. The business was checked and no problems were found. The door was secured.

A unsecure door to a business was found by Osseo Police on May 26 at a business on the 200 block of Central Ave. An employee was contacted and the building was secured.

Osseo Police responded to a missing elderly female on May 31 on the 100 block of Third Street N.E. The woman was located safe a few blocks away and brought back home.

Osseo Police responded to a dispute between neighbors on June 3 on the 600 block of Second Street S.E. The incident has been forwarded to the City Attorney for possible criminal charges.

A cell phone was stolen on June 4 at the Osseo Senior High School. The phone was tracked with GPS and recovered in Brooklyn Park and given back to the owner.

A theft of flower arrangements was reported stolen on June 4 from the St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. The value of the loss is $80. There are no suspects.

Osseo Police took a vandalism report on June 6 from the Osseo Ice Arena. There are no suspects.

A bicycle was reported stolen on June 6 from a driveway in the 300 block of First Street N.E. There are no suspects.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a missing child on June 6 on the 200 block of Central Ave. The child was located safe a few blocks away.

Osseo Police responded to a verbal domestic on June 6 on the 300 block of First St. N.E. The incident was mediated by police and no charges were filed.

Osseo Police assisted Maple Grove Police on a business robbery on the 9900 block of County Road 81 on June 9. For precaution the Osseo High School was put on lock down while officers searched for the suspect around the Osseo area. This incident is under investigation by the Maple Grove Police Department.

Osseo Police took a harassment report on June 9 on the 50 block of Central Ave. All parties involved were advised. No charges at this time.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a person sleeping in a car on June 10 on the 200 block of Broadway Street West in a parking lot of a business. The person was given resources where he could stay.

Osseo Police responded to a disturbance at the Osseo Senior High School on June 11. The incident was related to a bicycle theft that occurred earlier.
