Nick Bunde scored a hat trick as Champlin Park started strong and beat White Bear Lake on Thursday at state boys lacrosse.

Bunde scored two of four first-quarter goals for the Rebels as they jumped out to a 4-1 lead. Luke Dalman, Gage Monson and Max Turgeon scored goals in the first half to build a 6-2 halftime lead.

Bryce Plunkett stopped seven shots in goal as the Rebels held off the Bears 8-5. Turgeon and Dalman each netted a goal in the second half to help maintain the lead for the Navy and Silver.

Turgeon finished with four points on two goals and two assists.
WBL had trimmed the Rebels lead to 7-4 during the third quarter, but Dalman stopped the momentum early in the fourth quarter with a goal. With the win, Champlin Park rebounded after a tough loss to Wayzata in the quarterfinals.

The Rebels will play for the state consolation title on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Blake at Chaska High School.
