The Maple Grove Student Arts group and the North Hennepin Community College Capstone Students present their year-end gallery show of their ongoing process and final projects at their Student Art Show. The show runs from now through June 26, at the Maple Grove Arts Center, 7916 Main St.
The NHCC Capstone class has worked diligently over the past few years to strengthen, expand and hone their craft. This show, which features two pieces from each student’s final collection, is the culmination of those years of hard work. The Maple Grove Arts Center will showcase these works and celebrate the achievements of these seven artists: Amanda Allgood, Michelle Fick, Lisa Garty, Calla Hodgkinson, Tessa Schram, Alex Wasnick and Alex Wiest.
The Student Art show also features work by the Maple Grove Student Arts group. This group meets weekly at the Maple Grove Arts Center to work collaboratively and individually in a creative environment. Each artist has selected one or two pieces to showcase their body of work.
The Maple Grove Arts Center is a non-profit community arts initiative serving the northwest suburbs of the Minneapolis metropolitan area. “Our mission is to create relationships among artists and share in a fun and unique experience within the community in which they live and work. Providing the artists with useful tools to grow their name, bring awareness of the visual arts, and promote the Community’s unique art culture. We also seek to educate the public and provide them with quality art programming for their entertainment and enjoyment.”
