Terry Spoerner

Terry Russell Spoerner, age 61, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Maple Grove, MN, died Wednesday, March 28, 2014 at his home.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 218 W. 2nd St., Chaska, with Father Doug Ebert presiding. Interment will be at Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery, Chaska.
Terry was born June 27, 1952 in Chaska, MN to Russell and Marie (Hentges) Spoerner, one of seven children. He was baptized and confirmed at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, and also graduated from Guardian Angels High School in 1971. He proudly served in the United States Army for two years. He was employed as an airplane mechanic for over thirty years working for General Dynamics, Northwest Airlines, and Hutchinson Technology, Plymouth. He enjoyed camping at the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, and was considered as quite the Mr. Fixit and loved tinkering with electronics. He also enjoyed collecting Military memorabilia and learning facts about War.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Russell, and brother Kevin.
Survivors include his daughter, Ivy Spoerner, of Maple Grove; son, Eric Spoerner, of Colorado Springs, CO; mother, Marie Spoerner, of Chaska; brothers, Stephen (Laura) of Eden Prairie, John, of Cottage Grove, David (Kim) of Chaska; sisters, Patricia (Larry) Ernst, of Shakopee, Susan (Paul) Vedeen, of Eden Prairie; many nieces and nephews; and also missed by Duke.
Funeral arrangements were with the Bertas Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Chaska, MN.
