The Rogers track teams scored points in eighth events at the Section 5AA track meet Wednesday and Friday at Hamline.
Top Royal finishes were fourth places — by junior Erika Folk in the girls 200 dash (26.69), senior Jacqueline Lindfors in the girls 3200 (11:47.83), and senior Caleb St. Gelais in the boys 800 (2:01.11).
Lindfors time beat the school record held by Jessica Bianchi. Folk’s 24.47 in the prelims broke the school record by Heather Brunn. Lindfors also placed seventh in the 1600 (5:28.87).
Reed Parent, a senior, scored in both boys distance runs, placing fifth in the 3200 (9:53.94) and eighth in the 1600 (4:39.87). Girls placing ninth were eighth-grader Dacoda Speidel in the 800 (2:27.85) and junior Heather Kilber in the 100 hurdles (16.91).
The girls 4×800 team of Hannah Lewis, Cailey Henderson, Speidel and Leah Lyngen was seventh (10:00.22). The girls 4×200 team of Folk, Kayla Berg, Kianna Koeppe and Miranda Anderson was ninth (1:50.27).
The Royal girls placed 13th with 21 points, and the boys 16th with 14 points, among 16 schools.
