Bigger plans for Redeemer Lutheran

Church hosts ground breaking event

On Sunday, April 27, Redeemer Lutheran Church of Maple Grove broke ground on a new 7,000-square-foot addition to their 9200 Elm Creek Blvd. location. Targeted completion of the project is scheduled for early fall 2014.

The expansion will include a new sanctuary, offices, Sunday school classrooms, and a dedicated space for Shining Light Preschool.

This will be an exciting year for the congregation and its preschool ministry. The new sanctuary will include a new spacious entry, seating for up to 250 worshipers, and a six rank pipe organ. Shining Light Preschool will have a larger classroom to accommodate 15 students and a new updated playground.

Passers-by can watch the construction progress over the summer. The congregation will continue to gather for worship in their current facility during construction.

Summer worship services are Sundays at 9 a.m. or Monday nights at 7 p.m. Shining Light Preschool is currently accepting enrollment applications for the 2014-15 school year.
