Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from April 22, 2014, through May 15, 2014.

Arrests

Osseo Police arrested a 33-year-old Champlin woman on April 25 at Second Street SE & County Road 81 for a fourth degree DWI. Her vehicle was impounded and she was transported to the Brooklyn Park Police Department for booking.

Osseo Police arrested a 53-year-old man from Brooklyn Park on April 26 on Central Avenue & 93rd Avenue for a fourth degree DWI. His vehicle was impounded and he was transported to the Brooklyn Park Police Department for booking.

Osseo Police arrested a 43-year-old New Hope women on May 5 at 85th Avenue & Jefferson Hwy. for gross misdemeanor third degree DWI. Her vehicle was impounded and she was transported to the Brooklyn Park Police Department for booking.

Osseo Police arrested a 41-year-old St. Paul man on Second Street N.E. & First Avenue N.E. on May 10 for driving without insurance. His vehicle was impounded and he was released with a citation.

Osseo Police arrested a 54-year-old Minneapolis man for driving after cancelation, inimical to public safety on May 10. His vehicle was impounded and he was transported to the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested an intoxicated 19-year-old Maple Grove man at the Osseo Junior High that was unable to care for himself. He was issued a citation for underage consumption of alcohol and released to a sober adult.

Incidents

A open door to a vacant building was discovered by Osseo Police on April 26 on the 100 block of Seventh Avenue S.E. A search of the building was done and no problems were found. The building was secured.

Osseo Police responded to an audible burglary alarm at a closed business on the 200 block of First Avenue N.E. on April 27. The alarm was caused by a faulty sensor.

Osseo Police responded to a verbal dispute between roommates on April 28 on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. Police were able to mediate the situation and no charges were filed.

A theft of a utility trailer was reported to Osseo Police on April 30 from a business on the 200 block of County Road 81. The trailer has been entered into a nationwide database. There are no suspects.

A cell phone was reported stolen from a locker at the Osseo High School on May 2. The case is under investigation.

Osseo Police responded to a report of a missing child on May 3 on the 800 block of Broadway Street. The child was found a short time later sleeping inside the home.

Osseo Police responded to a verbal domestic on May 3 on the 600 block of First Avenue N.W. No assault took place and police were able to mediate the disturbance. No charges were filed.

Osseo Policed were dispatched to an unwanted person on May 5 on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. The 911 caller reported her ex-boyfriend refused to leave the complex. The ex-boyfriend was issued a trespass notice and told to leave. There are no charges pending.

A theft of a wedding ring was reported to Osseo Police on May 6t on the 300 block of Fifth Avenue S.E. The case is under investigation by the Hennepin County Detectives and Osseo Police.

Osseo Police were dispatched to a suspicious activity report on May 7 on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. The 911 caller reported seeing a strobe light flashing in another apartment.   Contact was made and it was found to be a flashlight.

A theft report was filed with Osseo Police on May 8 from a business on the 100 block of County Road 81. The case is under investigation by the Hennepin County Detective for possible felony charges.

A loud music complaint was received on May 9 on the 100 block of Fourth Avenue N.E. The suspect was advised to turn the music down. No charges were filed.

A gasoline no pay was reported to Osseo Police on May 10. The clerk was able to get a plate and the case is under investigation and possible charges are pending.

Osseo Police responded to an audible burglary alarm at a business on the 300 block of Central Avenue on May 10. No problems were found. It appears the alarm was a malfunction.

Osseo Police responded to a 911 hang up on call on May 10 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. No problems were found.

A cell phone was reported stolen from a locker at the Osseo Senior High School on May 13. The case is under investigation.

Osseo Police responded to a domestic disturbance on May 13 on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. Police were able to mediate the situation and no charges were filed.

A cell phone was reported stolen from a locker at the Osseo Senior High School on May 14.  The case is under investigation.

Osseo Police responded to a suspicious vehicle on May 15 on the 50 block of Sixth Street N.W.

Osseo Police responded to a welfare check on the 200 block of County Road 81 on May 15.  No problems were found.

Accidents

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident in the parking lot of the Osseo Senior High on May 6. Both drivers exchanged information and no charges were filed.
