Maple Grove Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city during the week of April 25, 2014, through May 1, 2014. Refer to the city website Crime Mapping Section for additional details for the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and vehicle theft.

Friday, April 25

12200 block of 88 Place — There was a report of a brick thrown through a window of a vehicle that was parked in a driveway overnight.

7400 block of Kirkwood Court — There was a report of a burglary of a business under construction. A cordless drill set was stolen.

7400 block of Kirkwood Court — There was a report of miscellaneous tools stolen from a vehicle parked at a business.

7400 block of Kirkwood Court — There was a report of a vehicle broken into that was parked at a business.

7400 block of Kirkwood Court — There was a report of a GPS unit stolen out of a vehicle parked at a business.

14500 block of 64th Ave. — There was a report of a UPS delivery stolen from a residence before the owner could retrieve it.

10900 block of 89th Ave. — There was a report of a vehicle stolen by the previous owner after the vehicle had been repossessed. The suspect was arrested.

12800 block of 90th Place — There was a report of eight rolls of copper wire stolen from a work vehicle that was parked in a driveway overnight.

Saturday, April 26

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspects, Robert Roberson Jr., 18, of Brooklyn Park and Tyree Moore, 18, of Maple Grove were arrested.

Sunday, April 27

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspect was arrested.

Monday, April 28

15100 block of 76th Ave. — The department responded to an individual who was having chest pains and difficulty breathing. Officer administered oxygen. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

Tuesday, April 29

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspect was arrested.

Wednesday, April 30

9200 block of Norwood Lane — There was a report of a scaffolding plank stolen from a yard.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspect was arrested.

11200 block of 93rd Ave. — There was a report of a vehicle leaving a gas station without paying for gas.

Thursday, May 1

6200 block of Quinwood Lane —The department responded to an individual having trouble breathing. Individual was administered oxygen and was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

9200 block of Garland Lane — The department responded to an individual having trouble breathing. Individual was administered oxygen and was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspect was arrested.

Other

There were 21 property damage and two personal injury traffic accident reported during this time period.

Julia Murray, 37, of Maple Grove was arrested April 22 for careless driving, first degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08 and third degree DWI driving while impaired-criminal penalty at 93rd Avenue and Rice Lake Road.

Megan Smerud, 23, of Plymouth was arrested April 22 for shoplifting on the 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane N.

Daniel Heinrich, 28, of Brooklyn Park was arrested April 23 for careless driving, fourth degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08 and fourth degree DWI driving while impaired-criminal penalty on the 10800 block of Sunset Terrace.

Tyler Stanley, 19, of Maple Grove was arrested April 24 for possessing or selling a small amount of marijuana on the 67th Avenue of Polaris Lane N.
