Junk gets whisked away in Independence

Leftovers from someone’s remodelling project make a speedy exit to a growing junk pile in a front end loader. Junk disappeared in seconds at the Independence and Maple Plain spring clean up, held Saturday, May 3, at the Independence Public Works Building. City employees and volunteers converged on heavily loaded vehicles and whisked away unwanted items that residents might have stared at for months or years. (Sun staff photos by Susan Van Cleaf)
