STATE OF MINNESOTA
The School Board of Anoka-Hennepin Independent School District No. 11 held a work session meeting on Monday, April 14, 2014, at the Educational Service Center, Anoka, Minnesota.
Chair Heidemann called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
The following members were present: William Fields, Bill Harvey, Tom Heidemann, Jeff Simon, and Dr. Scott Wenzel. Marci Anderson was absent.
CONSENT AGENDA
Jeff Simon moved and Bill Harvey seconded the motion to approve the following consent agenda items:
1. Minutes from the March 24, 2014, Board meeting.
2. Personnel items as follows:

3. Recinded the award and contract with J.M. Smucker Co. for the listed items as they were not the low bidder. The Board approved the award contract to Advance Pierre.
4. Approved the Coon Rapids Middle School Upgrade Project-14035B
5. Approved the Eisenhower Elementary Walk-In Cooler and Freezer Replacement-14034B
6. Approved the Joint Purchasing Agreement with Wayzata Public Schools ISD #284.
7. Approved the Mary T Lease Extension Agreement for apartment #1174 located at 1181 117th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55448.
8. The immunization exclusionsnames and specifics are not included because of data privacy.
Motion passed.
The meeting then moved into the work session portion of the agenda: Legislative Update, Cabinet Reorganization, 10 Year Facility Plan/Alt Fac. Levy Planning, Foreign Student Admission Policy 535.0 and Uniforms Purchase/Rotation Proposal
Chair Heidemann made the following committee appointment change for the 2014 calendar year:

Chair Heidemann proposed under Minnesota State Law 13D.03 sub 1 that they move into a closed session to deal with matters of labor negotiations and that will take place after a closed session on matters of data privacy. The closed session will be held in the Sherwood Cleveland West Room. Jeff Simon moved, William Fields seconded the motion to go into closed sessions. Motion carried.
Chair Tom Heidemann recessed the meeting at 7:35 p.m. The meeting reconvened in closed session at 7:45 p.m. to discuss matters requiring data privacy. The meeting reconvened in open session at 8:22 p.m.
Jeff Simon moved and William Fields seconded the motion to expel student number one for one year, the student being allowed to return on probation on September 2, 2014, pending completion of a chemical dependency evaluation. Dr. Scott Wenzel called the roll. The following voted in favor of the motion: Tom Heidemann, Bill Harvey, William Fields, Jeff Simon, and Dr. Scott Wenzel. There being five votes for and no votes against the motion, the motion passed.
Tom Heidemann moved and Jeff Simon seconded the motion to expel student number two for one year, the student being allowed to return on probation on September 2, 2014, pending completion of a chemical dependency evaluation. Dr. Scott Wenzel called the roll. The following voted in favor of the motion: Tom Heidemann, Bill Harvey, William Fields, Jeff Simon, and Dr. Scott Wenzel. There being five votes for and no votes against the motion, the motion passed.

There being five votes for and no votes against the motion, the motion passed.

Chair Heidemann recessed the meeting at 8:27 p.m. The Board reconvened in closed Executive Session to discuss negotiations at 8:30 p.m. The meeting reconvened in open session at 9:25 p.m.
Bill Harvey moved and Dr. Scott Wenzel seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting. Motion passed.
