Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from March 18, 2014, through April 21, 2014

Arrests:

Osseo Police arrested a 24-year-old Minneapolis woman on March 2 on a traffic stop for a Hennepin County warrant. She posted bail and was released from the scene.

Osseo Police arrested a 19-year-old Brooklyn Park woman on March 21 on a traffic stop for a Hennepin County warrant. She posted bail and was released from the scene.

Osseo Police arrested a 32-year-old Richfield man on March 21 on the 100 block of Central Avenue for driving after suspension and no proof of insurance. He was released at scene with a citation.

Osseo Police arrested a 28-year-old Champlin man on March 24 for possession of a dangerous weapon, misdemeanor theft, three Hennepin County warrants, and two Anoka County warrants. The man was arrested after Osseo Police responded to a theft complaint at a business on the 300 block of Central Avenue. He was booked at the Hennepin County Jail.

Osseo Police arrested a 23-year-old Ham Lake man, and a 25-year-old Osseo man for probable cause auto theft on March 26 on 93rd Avenue. Both man were booked at the Hennepin County Jail. The case is under investigation by the Osseo Police Department and Hennepin County Detectives.

Osseo Police arrested a 38-year-old Minneapolis man on March 28 on the 400 block of County Road 81 for gross misdemeanor driving after cancelation inimical to public safety, and two counts of giving a false name to a police officer. He was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

Osseo Police arrested a 51-year-old Crystal man on March 29 for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance. He was released with a citation.

Osseo Police arrested a 33-year-old Osseo woman on March 29 on the 100 block of Fourth Avenue N.E. for gross misdemeanor driving without insurance and driving with a revoked license. She was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department and her vehicle was impounded.

Osseo Police arrested a 24-year-old Brooklyn Park woman on April 13 on Hwy. 169 near 85th Avenue N. for third degree DWI, driving after revocation, and a Hennepin County warrant. Her vehicle was impounded and she was booked at the Hennepin County Jail in Minneapolis.

Osseo Police arrested a 27-year-old Minnetonka man on April 13 near 93rd Avenue and Zachary Lane for third degree DWI. His vehicle was impounded and he was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

Osseo Police arrested a 19-year-old Minneapolis man on April 13 at County Road 81 and Central Avenue for driving with a suspended license. He was released with a citation.

Incidents:

Osseo Police responded to a theft at a business on March 21 on the 200 block of County Road 81. A suspect was apprehended and the items were returned. The business manager wanted the suspect trespassed from the property rather than arrested.

Osseo Police responded to a verbal domestic on March 21 on the 600 block of First Avenue N.W. Officers were able to mediate the dispute and no arrests were made.

Osseo Police responded to an intoxicated person causing a disturbance on March 30 at a business on the 300 block of Central Avenue. The person was escorted home by a sober family member. No charges were filed.

Osseo Police responded to a possible prowler on the March 31 on the 300 block of Second Street S.E. Police were unable to locate any fresh foot prints in the snow.

Osseo Police were dispatched to a dispute on March 31 at a business on the 200 block of Central Avenue. The incident was mediated by police and no charges were filed.

Osseo Police were dispatched to a dispute on April 1 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. The incident was mediated by police and no charges were filed.

A noise complaint was received on April 8 on the 100 block of Second Avenue S.E. A verbal warning was issued.

Osseo Police responded to a report of two unwanted juvenile males harassing others on April 8 on the 300 block of Second Avenue N.W. Both males were identified and escorted off the property.

Osseo Police responded to a possible prowler on the April 9 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. Police did an extensive search of the neighborhood but were unable to locate the person or any other problems.

An attempted burglary was reported to Osseo Police on April 11 at a business on the 200 block of Central Avenue. Several pry marks were located on the rear door of the business but appears no access was made. The case is under investigation.

Osseo Police responded to a burglar alarm at a closed business on April 12 on the 300 block of Central Avenue. The building was locked up and no problems were found.

Osseo Police responded to a possible domestic dispute on the 400 block of Third Street S.E. on April 14. Police were unable to locate any problems.

Osseo Police responded to suspicious solicitors at the Osseo High School on April 14. Contact was made with the suspect and they advised to leave the area unless they have permission from the school district to sell items on school property.

Osseo Police responded to a verbal dispute on the 300 block of First Street S.E. on April 16. The incident was mediated by police.

A theft of jewelry and cosmetics were reported to the Osseo Police on April 16 from a residence in the 500 block of Second Street S.E. The incident is under investigation.

Osseo Police responded to a violation of a court order on the 600 block of Second Street S.E. on April 17. Formal charges are pending against a 46-year-old suspect.

Accidents:

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident in the parking lot of business on the 200 block of Central Avenue on March 24. Both drivers exchanged information.

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident on the 600 block of 93rd Avenue on March 27. Both vehicles had heavy damage and were towed. Both drivers exchanged information and a state accident report was filed.

Osseo Police responded to a three-car property damage accident on the 600 block of Central Avenue on March 27. All three-vehicles had minor damage. All drivers exchanged information and a state accident report was filed.

Osseo Police responded to a property damage accident on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. on March 30. A state accident report was filed.

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. on April 16. Both drivers exchanged information and a state accident report was filed.
