Area police are looking into a male that robbed two banks on the same day last week.
On Tuesday, April 15, around 5:30 p.m. the Maple Grove Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank located at 6225 Sycamore Lane N. in Maple Grove.
According to police, bank employees advised that a male entered the bank and produced a note announcing the robbery. The employees complied and gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled the bank on foot east toward Bass Lake Center.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s or 50s, approximately 6-foot tall, 200 pounds, 5 o’clock shadow facial hair, wearing a light gray in color hooded sweatshirt with red or orange inside the hood, jeans, and a blue or black in color baseball hat with “Call of Duty Ghosts” logo on the front.
The Burnsville Police Department is also investigating a TCF Bank robbery on the same day, April 15, around 4:10 p.m. involving the same suspect.
At this time there is no indication of a weapon being used, however the Maple Grove Police Department strongly urges the public not to approach the suspect as he could be considered dangerous.
