Maple Grove Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city during the week of April 4, 2014, through April 10, 2014. Refer to city’s website Crime Mapping Section for additional details for the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and vehicle theft.

Friday, April 4

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspect, William Burrows, 27, of Maple Grove was arrested.

9300 block of Upland Lane — There was a report of a vehicle driving away from a gas station without paying for gas that was pumped.

8100 block of Main St. — The department responded to an individual experiencing dizziness. Officers administered oxygen. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

9200 block of Garland Lane — There was a report of license plates stolen off of a vehicle while parked in an apartment parking lot.

Richard Shaver, 73,  of Maple Grove was arrested for violation of harassment/restraining order on the 8100 block of Main Street.

Saturday, April 5

17300 block of 75th Ave. — The department responded to an individual who was unconscious. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

16600 block of 92nd Ave. — There was a report of license plates stolen off of a vehicle while parked in an apartment garage.

18800 block of 65th Place — There was a report of a residential burglary. A glass patio door had been smashed out.

12900 block of Elm Creek Blvd. — There was a report of a purse stolen from a restaurant. The purse was eventually returned to owner, however iPhone and wallet from inside the purse were not.

11800 block of Fountains Way — There was a report of a wallet stolen out of a purse at a restaurant.

Luther Clay, 42, of Maple Grove was arrested for domestic assault on the 12900 block of Weaver Lake Road.

Timothy Sidlyarevich, 39, of Rogers was arrested for third degree DWI driving while impaired at 79th Avenue and E. Fish Lake Road.

Richard Slinden, 24, of Maple Grove was arrested for controlled substance possessing a hypodermic needle and possessing or selling a small amount marijuana on the 300 block of Eagle Lake Drive W.

Sunday, April 6

9600 block of 99th Ave. — The department responded to an individual having trouble breathing. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

16500 block of 96th Ave. — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspect was arrested.

18000 block of 69th Place — The department responded to an individual who was having trouble breathing. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspect was arrested.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business.

Shawn Sukhram, 23, of Brooklyn Center was arrested for fourth degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08, fourth degree DWI driving while impaired- criminal penalty, speeding and driving after suspension at Main Street and Hemlock Lane.

Monday, April 7

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — The department responded to an individual who was having a seizure. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

8900 block of Vinewood Lane — The department responded to an individual believed to be having a stroke. The individual transported to the hospital by paramedics.

8000 block of Wedgewood Lane — The department report of merchandise stolen from a business.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The merchandise was recovered.

Tuesday, April 8

6300 block of Eagle Lake Drive — There was a report of license plates stolen off of a vehicle.

Wednesday, April 9

7800 block of Main Street — The department responded to an individual who had fallen and cut their head.

17700 block of Elm Road — There was a report of items stolen from a residence.

16800 block of 91st Ave. — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The suspect was later arrested at a different location and was charged with multiple offenses.

Other

There were 32 property damage and two personal injury traffic accidents reported during this time period.

Tawny Walsh, 19, of Osseo was arrested March 30 for shoplifting on the 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane N.

Barbara McNellis, 49, of Maple Grove was arrested March 30 for third degree DWI driving while impaired-criminal penalty at 104th Place and Zachary Lane N.

Debra Olson, 49, of Brooklyn Center was arrested March 30 for a controlled substance, possession of shoplifting gear, shoplifting and possessing/selling prescription drugs on the 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane N.

Kristina Wellner, 27, of Plymouth was arrested March 30 for possession of a counterfeit bill and shoplifting on the 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane N.

Miranda Sanders, 27, of Sauk Rapids was arrested March 30 for controlled substance, possessing/selling prescription drugs and shoplifting on the 9400 block of Dunkirk Lane N.

William Burrows, 27, of Newnan, Ga. was arrested March 31 for an unregistered vehicle on a public street and open bottle on the 8100 block of Wedgewood Lane N.

Kody Precht, 19, of Maple Grove was arrested March 31 for first degree burglary on the 8400 block of Upland Lane N.

Jonathan Howe, 39, of Maple Grove was arrested March 31 for domestic assault on the 9800 block of Hemlock Way N.

Alexandria Bloom, 22, of Brooklyn Park was arrested April 1 for shoplifting and trespass notice served on the 9400 block Dunkirk Lane N.

Jonathan Brown, 24, of Minneapolis was arrested April 2 for fourth degree DWI driving while impaired, fourth degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08, careless driving and violating a drivers license supervision at Lawndale Lane and 74th Avenue N.

Derek Holt, 30, of Anoka was arrested April 2 for possession of shoplifting gear, shoplifting and trespass notice served on the 12400 block of Elm Creek Boulevard.
