Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council is issuing a call for nominations for the Annual Invest Northwest Awards to honor local volunteers.
The Invest Northwest Awards celebrate outstanding individuals, organizations and businesses in Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Crystal, Golden Valley, Maple Grove, New Hope, Osseo, Corcoran and Hanover who volunteer in their community and demonstrate innovation and creativity in improving the lives of others; sustain their activities working to improve people’s lives over a period of time; inspire others to get involved and display visible evidence of progress resulting from their activity.
Up to four awards will be given. People may not nominate themselves or the organization for which they work. Nominations are due by 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 18. Awards will be presented at the Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council Annual Event at noon on Wednesday, May 21.

The Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council was established in 1972 as a Joint Powers Agreement of member cities in Northwest Hennepin County to do regional research, planning, and coordination of human service networks that make a difference in the lives of area residents.
