Maple Grove Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city during the week of March 28, 2014, through April 3, 2014. Refer to the city website Crime Mapping Section for additional details for the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and vehicle theft.

Friday, March 28

9200 block of Garland Lane — There was a report of a locked bicycle stolen from an underground garage.

9800 block of Maple Grove Parkway — There was a report of a wallet stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in a parking lot.

12700 block of Elm Creek Blvd. — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. The stolen merchandise was recovered. Suspect not identified.

7600 block of Orchid Lane — There was a report of a stolen iPhone.

Elton Tolbert, 40, of Brooklyn Park was arrested for third degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08 and warrant arrest at Bass Lake Road and I-494.

Saturday, March 29

7300 block of Kirkwood Court — The department responded to an individual who was experiencing left arm pain and having trouble breathing. Officers administered oxygen. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

6500 block of Hemlock Lane — There was a report of a trailer stolen out of a yard.

18300 block of 66th Place — There was a report of a wallet stolen out of an unlocked vehicle that was parked on the street.

Roger Brown, 38, of Rogers was arrested for fifth degree possession of methamphetamine, third degree DUI refusal to submit to test and third degree DWI driving while impaired-criminal penalty at 96th Avenue N. and Blackoaks Lane N.

David Newton, 40, of Maple Grove was arrested for second degree DWI driving while impaired- criminal penalty, second degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08, driver’s license restrictions and improper lane use at Elm Creek Boulevard and Maple Knoll Way.

Sunday, March 30

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — The department responded to an individual experiencing stomach pain and ready to faint. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

6900 block of Empire Lane — There was a report of a window shattered out of a vehicle that was parked in a driveway.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of merchandise stolen from a business. Three suspects were arrested.

8200 block of Archer Lane — The department responded to an individual believed to be having a heart attack. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

Monday, March 31

8400 block of Upland Lane — There was a report of a burglary of an occupied residence. The suspect was arrested.

11900 block of 73rd Ave. — There was a report of a vehicle leaving a gas station without paying for gas they had pumped.

17000 block of 76th Place — The department responded to an individual possibly experiencing a heart attack. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

16800 block of 91st Ave. — There was a report of wheels damaged on a vehicle. The suspect attempted to steal hubcaps.

Tuesday, April 1

7700 block of Ranier Lane — There was a report of a ring stolen from a residence.

11600 block of Fountains Drive — The department responded to an individual who had a seizure. The paramedics responded.

14700 block of 95th Ave. —There was a report of a vehicle stolen out of a driveway. The suspect is known to victim.

Wednesday, April 2

11800 block of Fountains Way — The department responded to an individual who had a seizure. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

7000 block of Ximines Lane — The department responded to an individual experiencing stroke symptoms. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

11200 block of 100th Place — There was a report of sod damaged due to a vehicle driving through a yard.

12900 block of Weaver Lake Road — There was a report of a stolen hockey stick.

Thursday, April 3

13600 block of 80th Circle — The department responded to an individual who reported chest pain and difficulty breathing. The individual was transported to the hospital by paramedics.

Other

There were 34 property damage and five personal injury traffic accidents reported during this time period.

Isiah Powell, 21, of Brooklyn Park was arrested March 24 for shoplifting and trespass notice served on the 12500 block of Elm Creek Blvd. N.

La-Von Taylor, 26, of St. Paul was arrested March 26 for domestic abuse- violation of no contact order at 83rd Way and Weaver Lake Road N.
