Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from Feb. 7, 2014 through Feb. 20, 2014.

Arrests

Osseo Police arrested a 35-year-old Minneapolis man on Feb. 15 on County Road 81 for third degree DWI and driving without a valid license. His car was impounded and he was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department.

Osseo Police arrested a 30-year-old Burnsville man on Feb. 18 on the 600 block of Central Avenue for a Hennepin County warrant. He was transported to the Hennepin County Jail for booking.

Osseo Police arrested a 17-year-old Plymouth juvenile on Feb. 18 on the 300 block of Central Avenue for misdemeanor theft. The juvenile was released to a parent.

Osseo Police arrested a 47-year-old Corcoran man on Feb. 18 on the 100 block of Central Avenue for violation of order for protection. He was transported to the Hennepin County Jail for booking.

Incidents

Osseo Police responded to a juvenile complaint on Feb. 7 on the 300 block of Second Avenue N.E. The incident was mediated by Osseo Police. There are no charges filed.

Osseo Police responded to a report of an intoxicated male sitting on a snow bank on Feb. 9 on the 300 block of Third Street N.E. The male was located and released to a sober person.

Osseo Police responded to a report of livestock making noise in the front yard of a residence on Feb. 11 on the 200 block of Sixth Avenue S.E. Contact was made with the livestock owner and advised to remove the animals.

Osseo Police responded to an intoxicated person complaint on Feb. 11 on the 200 block of Fourth Avenue S.E. A 54-year-old male was transported to a alcohol detox facility for evaluation.

Osseo Police responded to a theft of auto repair equipment on Feb. 12 from a business on the 500 block of Central Avenue. The case is under investigation.

Osseo Police responded to a theft of a snow blower on Feb. 13 from a business on the 100 block of County Road 81. There are no suspects. The case is under investigation by Osseo Police.

A theft of money was reported to Osseo Police on Feb. 14 from a business on the 8600 block of Jefferson Hwy. The case is currently under investigation by the Osseo Police Department.

Osseo Police responded to a weapons complaint on Feb. 17 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. A 65-year-old male was swinging a snow shovel at staff members. The male was sent to North Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical issues. No assault took place and no charges are pending.

Osseo Police located an unsecure door at a construction site on the 50 block of Sixth Street N.W. on Feb. 17. A check of the site was done and no problems were found. The site was secured by Osseo Police.

Osseo Police responded to a 911 hang up call on Feb. 18 on the 100 block of Third Street N.E. Responding officers located the caller who reported hearing a suspicious noise. No problems were found.

Osseo Police responded to a barking dog complaint on 100 block of Eighth Avenue N.E. on Feb. 19. The animal owner was issued a verbal warning.

Osseo Police responded to a business intrusion alarm on the 200 block of Central Avenue on Feb. 19. The alarm was set off by a cleaner. No problems were found.

Medicals

Osseo Police responded to a 92-year-old female experiencing heart attack symptoms on Feb. 11 on the 100 block of Second Avenue N.E. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an 82-year-old male that fell and hit his head on Feb. 12 on the 100 block of Sixth Avenue N.E. He was examined by ambulance Paramedics.

Osseo Police responded to a 64-year-old male with chest pain on Feb. 12 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. He was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 58-year-old female that had fallen and injured her head on Feb. 14 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 56-year-old having a possible heart attack on Feb. 15 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. He was transported to the Veterans Affairs Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 97-year-old female that fell and hit her head on Feb. 20 on the 600 block of Central Avenue. She was examined by paramedics but declined transport to the hospital.

Accidents

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident on the 300 block of Second Street S.E. The driver of the striking vehicle hit a parked car. A report was filed. No charges are pending.
