Rogers boys basketball team is seeded seventh in Section 8AAAA and will play at Buffalo.
Rogers (9-15) has lost twice to Buffalo (20-6), which is riding a 16-game win streak.
Top-seeded St. Cloud Tech (22-3) will host No. 8 Bemidji (4-21) in the top bracket along with No. 4 St. Michael-Albertville (13-12) hosting No. 5 Moorhead (12-11).
In the semifinals on Saturday at St. Cloud State, the Elk River-Brainerd winner will meet the Buffalo-Rogers winner at 7:45 p.m. The Tech-Bemidji winner meets the STMA-Moorhead winner at 6 p.m.
The championship will be played Thursday, March 6, at 7 p.m., at a site to be determined.
In game action, St. Michael-Albertville hit a couple of 3-pointers during a late surge and overtook the Rogers Royals 70-63 Feb. 18 in St. Michael.
Rogers led 59-55 before Jackson Greenwaldt hit a 3-pointer to start the Knights rally and Dallas Freeman sank another to help them pull away.
Trevor Rothstein scored 26 points and Greenwaldt 23 for the Knights (9-5-1 conference, 13-12-1 overall).
Cole Murray notched 19 points for the Royals (4-9-1 conference, 9-15-1 overall) and Lance Lendl was next with 13 points.
