Dayton sees nearly a foot of snow in winter storm, Anoka-Hennepin schools closed

The National Weather Service Twin Cities states the Dayton/Champlin area received more than 11 inches of snow during the snowfall Thursday, Feb. 20 to Friday, Feb. 21.

Furthermore, the Anoka-Hennepin School District has closed and all programs and activities will be cancelled Friday, Feb. 21, due to heavy snow, high winds and unplowed roads. Staff should not report to work as buildings will remain closed.

The city of Champlin announced today that Ace and Allied waste will be running a day behind schedule due to weather. Residents and visitors are not allowed to park on city streets while crews work to clear snow.
