The Crimson fell behind 0-2 in the second period but Drake Thomsen made it 2-1 later in the period and MG scored three straight goals early in the third to come away with the win. Sam Valerius, Sam Huff and Joe Norenberg scored MG’s goals and Valerius added two assists. Brady Goodman, who stopped 29 of 31 shots, shut down the Elks in the third.
Valerius had three goals and two assists and Josh Passolt had one goal and three helpers to lead MG to an 8-0 rout of Armstrong Feb. 1. Sam Ross, Huff, Jack Kelly and Cuyler Fischer each scored one goal. Goodman made 14 saves for the shutout win.
