CROSS has partnered with a business in Maple Grove that is committed to giving back to the community. Malone’s Bar and Grill established in November 2010 and located in Maple Grove, gives back to the community in many ways. It does this by sponsoring baseball teams, fundraisers, hockey teams, golf tournament and support to the local food shelf.
Malone’s has partnered with the Maple Grove Lions to donate 50 percent of Malone’s sales all day Feb. 3 to CROSS Services. The Maple Grove Lions are involved in many community activities including actively collecting eye glasses for redistribution to those who otherwise would not be able to afford eye glasses. This event will assist countless individuals make it through this tough winter. Malone’s is locally owned and operated.
Now based in Rogers, CROSS has been operating for nearly four decades. It is one of the few providers of assistance in the northwest Hennepin County area, as well as the sole food shelf servicing Corcoran, Dayton, Maple Grove, Osseo, Rogers and west Champlin. Over 600 families each month benefit from services provided by CROSS, which is supported by volunteers and community donations from businesses, churches, schools, and other organizations.
