Osseo Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city of Osseo from Dec. 27, 2013, through Jan. 9, 2014.

Arrests:

A 27-year-old Brooklyn Park man was arrested on Jan. 5 near County Road 81 and Central Ave after Osseo Police responded to a report of a car in the ditch. Police learned the driver was intoxicated and took the suspect into custody. He was booked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department for fourth degree DWI. His vehicle was removed from the ditch and impounded.

Incidents:

Osseo Police responded to a verbal dispute on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive on Dec. 28. The incident was mediated by police and no arrests were made. An adult male was trespassed from the property and told to leave.

Osseo Police responded to a harassment complaint on Dec. 30 on the 100 block of Fourth Avenue N.E. The case is under investigation.

A theft of cash was reported stolen to Osseo Police on Dec. 30 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. The case is under investigation by Osseo Police.

Osseo Police responded to an assault on Dec. 30 at the Osseo High School. Several suspects were identified. The case is under investigation by the Osseo Police Department, and the Osseo High School’s Liaison Detective.

Osseo Police responded to a damage to property report on Jan. 1 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. A vehicle had hit a wood dumpster enclosure. There are no suspects.

A theft of a woman’s ring inside of a car was reported to Osseo Police from a business on Jan. 3 on the 8700 block of Jefferson Hwy. There are no suspects. The case is under investigation by Osseo Police.

Osseo Police responded to a suspicious persons call on Jan. 4 on the 600 block of North Oaks Drive. Police made contact with the person and identified him.

A theft of cash was reported stolen from the Osseo High School on Jan. 5. There are no suspects. The case is under investigation.

Osseo Police took a report of a street lamp that was damaged on the 50 block of Third Street N.W. on Jan. 7. There are no suspects.

Two cell phones were reported stolen from students at the Osseo Junior High School on Jan. 8. The cases are under investigation by Osseo Police and the School Liaison Detective to identify the suspect(s).

Osseo Police responded to an unwanted person banging on the front door on the 50 block of Fourth Street N.E. on Jan. 8. The suspect left prior to police arriving.

Osseo Police took a report of a theft from a business on the 8800 block of Jefferson Hwy. on Jan. 9. A suspect has been identified and the case is currently under investigation by Osseo Police and the Hennepin County Detectives.

Medicals:

Osseo Police responded to a 34-year-old male that had fallen and possibly broke his leg on the 100 block of Central Avenue on Dec. 27. He was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 64-year-old male with nose bleed on Dec. 28 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 85-year-old female having an anxiety attack on Dec. 30 on the 600 block of Central Avenue. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 28-year-old ill male that had passed out on Dec. 31 on the 300 block of County Road 81. He was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 55-year-old female with severe pain on Dec. 31 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. She was transported to Methodist Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 19-year-old female in labor on Jan. 1 on the 300 block of Third Street S.E. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 46-year-old female that over dosed on prescription drugs on Jan. 2 on the 100 block of Seventh Avenue S.E. She was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 56-year -old male having trouble breathing on Jan. 3 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. He was transported to the Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 50-year-old male having trouble breathing on Jan. 4 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. He was transported to North Memorial Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 59-year-old male having trouble breathing on Jan. 7 on the 500 block of Second Street S.E. He was transported to Mercy Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to an unconscious 94-year-old male on the 200 block of Fifth Avenue S.E. on Jan. 8. He was transported to Methodist Hospital by North Ambulance.

Osseo Police responded to a 17-year-old male with a head injury during a wrestling meet at the Osseo Senior High School on Jan. 8. He was transported to the Maple Grove Hospital by North Ambulance.

Accidents:

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident at Fourth Street and Central Avenue. Both drivers exchanged information. A state accident report was filed.

A property damage hit and run of a parked car at the Osseo High School was reported to Osseo Police on Jan. 4. There are no witnesses or suspects. Photos were taken of the victim’s car. A state accident report was filed.

Osseo Police responded to a two-car property damage accident on the 600 block of Central Avenue on Jan. 7. Both drivers exchanged information and a state accident report was filed.
