Rockford Area School’s Launching Pad Preschool — located in the Rockford Elementary Arts Magnet School — was recently awarded a 4-Star Parent Aware Rating, the highest rating given.

This Parent Aware Quality Rating System assists Minnesota parents in finding early education providers that are focused on high-quality early learning and kindergarten readiness.

To participate in Minnesota’s Parent Aware Program, the Launching Pad Preschool was required to meet certain criteria, including in-depth training in curriculum and assessment; employing the latest approaches for keeping children’s learning progress on track; committing to daily activities and routines that help children learn; creating strong, caring relationships with each child; and focusing on children’s health and safety. As a 4-Star Rated program, Launching Pad Preschool is recognized for going above and beyond in preparing children for school and for life.

With the 4-Star Rating, Launching Pad Preschool has new early learning scholarships available for qualifying families.

“We are thrilled to have received this award,” said Tiffany Reinhard, Early Childhood Programs Coordinator. “As early childhood educators, we are continually striving to provide early learning opportunities for families, but have faced years of challenges in funding. These extra scholarship funds will provide new learning opportunities to our youngest students and allow us to open more doors for our most vulnerable children.” A scholarship award to a qualifying family could include tuition and transportation fees.
