The Osseo Area School District, Anoka-Hennepin School District, St. Michael-Albertville School District and Elk River School District have canceled school for both Monday, Jan. 6 and Tuesday, Jan. 7.
In a statement from the District 279: “Due to continuing severe weather with dangerous wind chills, school is cancelled on Monday, Jan. 6 and Tuesday, Jan. 7. Classes will not be held and the buildings will be closed. All after-school and evening activities are also cancelled, except for the School Board meetings, which will take place as scheduled Tuesday evening. Please plan to have your student return to school on Wednesday, Jan. 8.”
According to STMA: “The St. Michael-Albertville Schools will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 7 due to the dangerously cold temperatures. Kids Play, Just 4 Kids, Bright Beginnings and the High School Activity Center will be closed. All activities are cancelled.”
