Smoking Cessation Class
JAN. 8 — Smoking Cessation Class is Wednesday, Jan. 8, 6-7:30 p.m. at CentraCare Health – Monticello in Conference Room A. CentraCare Health – Monticello wants to help keep that New Year’s resolution this year. Dr. Nabeel Ailabouni, DO, CentraCare Clinic – Big Lake, will provide an informative and interactive class designed to help you quit smoking. Haiti Music Mission
JAN. 11 — Sarah Kolling, a junior at Buffalo High School, is working on her Girl Scout Gold Award project. Her project involves going to Haiti in July 2014 to teach music to the children in the orphanage and to members of the community band. To help fund this project, Sarah is hosting a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser at the River Inn in Hanover Saturday, Jan. 11, from 8 to 10 a.m. All of the money raised at this breakfast will go towards purchasing the instruments, music stands, music, and accessories, all of which will be left in Haiti. Tickets are $8 each (children ages 2 & under are free.) and can be purchased at the door on Jan. 11th. The menu includes pancakes, sausages, scrambled eggs, and beverage. In addition to supporting this mission by attending the breakfast, you can help by donating instruments and accessories (i.e. reeds, valve oil, drumsticks), and even large suitcases.
