JAN. 7 — The Osseo School Board will have an organizational meeting Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 6 p.m. in the board room of the Education Service Center, 11200 93rd Ave. in Maple Grove. A work session will take place at 6:30 p.m. in forum room, followed by a property committee meeting and policy committee meeting. These meeting are open to the public.
State of the Cities
JAN. 9 — The annual North Hennepin Area Chamber of Commerce’s State of the Cities Luncheon will take place Thursday, Jan. 9, at 11:30 a.m. at Edinburgh USA in Brooklyn Park. Maple Grove Historical Museum Open
JAN. 12 — The Maple Grove History Museum, 9030 Forestview Lane, will be open the second Sunday of each month from 1 to 4 p.m. Use the south driveway to enter and park. Visitors are welcome to drop by and see the current displays. Check out the very labor intensive method of doing the laundry in days of yesteryear. JAN. 19 — Start off the new year by coming and joining the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion Riders at its monthly omelet breakfast Sunday, Jan. 19, from 8 a.m. noon at the Osseo-Maple Grove American Legion, 260 Fourth Ave. S.E. in Osseo. People are invited to come and enjoy an omelet of their own creation with the Legion’s ingredients prepared in front of them. The cost to attend is $8. The proceeds have helped the Riders help veterans and their families with the support they need.
