To the Editor:
After 10 years of serving the senior population of Wright County, Seniors Wright at Home, (formerly known as Faith in Action of Wright County) is closing on Dec. 31. This decision did not come lightly, but was decided upon with care and much consideration due to many factors.
All of us at Seniors Wright at Home appreciate our dedicated volunteers for the thousands of miles they have driven to medical appointments, for the houses and apartments they have cleaned, for the grocery shopping they have done and for the friendly visits they have made with our seniors. We also appreciate the donors, the churches and the organizations that have supported our mission over the years.
Seniors Wright at Home has asked two local nonprofits to assist with meeting some of the needs of our county’s seniors in the future. Please give plenty of time before the upcoming need so volunteers can be secured.
If you are a senior and live in Delano, Howard Lake, Montrose, Rockford or Waverly, call Love, INC—Heartland at 763-972-6547. If you are a senior and live in Buffalo, Hanover or Maple Lake, call Love, INC—Big Woods at 763-682-6820.
You also may call the Senior LinkAge Line at 800-333-2433 for resource information.
Finally, we would like to thank our care receivers (our clients) for putting their trust in us, for allowing us into their homes and for sharing their lives with us. We will miss each and every one of you — our Seniors Wright at Home family. Thank you for touching our hearts and for filling us with great joy. God bless you all.
On behalf of all of us at Seniors Wright at Home,
Allison Moser, Program Director
Beth Wychor, Community Relations Coordinator
