Maple Grove Police

The following is a synopsis of some of the incidents that occurred in the city during the week of Dec. 6 through Dec. 12, 2013. Refer to the city website Crime Mapping Section for additional details for the crimes of burglary, robbery, arson, theft and vehicle theft.

Friday, Dec. 6

16500 block of 96th Ave. — There was a report of a camera stolen from a store.

13500 block of Grove Circle — There was a report of a shoplifter trying to leave a store. When confronted, suspect dropped merchandise and fled in a vehicle.

9200 block of Wellington Lane — There was a report of theft of mail from a business.

Travis Blasiak, 30, of Corcoran was arrested for forgery of a controlled substance on the 9800 block of Hospital Drive N.

Saturday, Dec. 7

12900 block of Weaver Lake Road — There was a report of athletic pants and cell phone stolen from the gym area of the community center.

11500 block of Fountains Drive — There was a report of three pairs of boots/shoes stolen from a store. The suspect fled in a vehicle.

12700 block of Elm Creek Blvd. — There was a report of an individual trying to leave a store with two purses. When confronted, the suspect dropped merchandise and fled.

13600 block of Grove Drive — There was a report of a GPS unit stolen from a vehicle.

Sunday, Dec. 8

7200 block of Kimberly Lane — There was a report of a GPS unit, two pairs of sunglasses and a Coach wristlet stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway overnight.

12600 block of Arbor Lakes Parkway — There was a report of a cell phone stolen from the bathroom of a restaurant.

7900 block of Shadyview Lane — The reporting party interrupted a burglary in progress in a garage. The suspect fled in a vehicle.

Monday, Dec. 9

9400 block of Wellington Lane — There was a report of the lock of a truck broken into and copper wire stolen.

6400 block of Sycamore Lane — There was a report of a key cutting machine, key blanks and a vacuum cleaner stolen from an apartment complex maintenance room.

12400 block of Elm Creek Blvd. — There was a report of an iPad mini and a iPod touch stolen.

Tuesday, Dec. 10

6300 block of Wedgewood Lane — There was a report of a vehicle broken into and a purse stolen.

17500 block of 96th Ave. — There was a report of jewelry stolen from a residence.

15300 block of Grove Circle — There was a report of a vehicle being “keyed” in a parking lot.

Wednesday, Dec. 11

11900 block of Main St. — There was a report of a purse stolen at a restaurant.

16700 block of 94th Ave. — There was a report of a vehicle scratched by a shopping card in a parking lot.

9400 block of Dunkirk Lane — There was a report of a suspect pushing a loaded cart past all points of sale. When confronted, the suspect left cart and fled in a vehicle.

6200 block of Yucca Lane — There was a report of damage to a mailbox.

Other

There were 64 property damage and six personal injury accidents reported during this time period.

Ashley Jones, 26, of Andover was arrested Dec. 1 for third degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08, third degree DWI driving while impaired- criminal penalty and careless driving at Hemlock Lane and I-694.

Keaton Ferguson, 28, of Maple Grove was arrested for Dec. 1 for a hit and run property damage accident, third degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08 and third degree DWI driving while impaired-criminal penalty and Elm Creek Blvd. and Weaver Lake Road.

Benjamin Hallman, 24, of Maple Grove was arrested Dec. 2 for health safety-toxic substances use for intoxication prohibited at 99th Place and Union Terrace Lane.

Christalena Miller, 36, of Brooklyn Park was arrested Dec. 2 for shoplifting and trespass notice served on the 8000 block of Wedgewood Lane N.

Michael Plummer, 24, of Maple Grove was arrested Dec. 3 for fourth degree DWI driving while impaired-criminal penalty, fourth degree DUI alcohol concentration over .08, careless driving and window tint too dark at Elm Creek Blvd. and Maple Knoll Way.

Frederick Kelker, 47, of Brookln Park was arrested Dec. 3 for shoplifting, driving after revocation and trespass noticed serviced on the 94– block of Dunkirk Lane N.
