The historical Ames-Florida-Stork House in downtown Rockford will offer a cozy, classic Christmas tea on Saturday, Dec. 14.

It’s coming up quick, but a few reservations are still available for the annual Formal Adult Christmas Tea set for 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the historical Stork House located on Bridge Street in downtown Rockford.

The Rockford Area Historical Society pulls out all the stops, and its fine china, for traditional refreshments, including plum pudding and Devonshire clotted cream. Parlor games and socializing will take place in the turn of century (the 20th century) holiday setting. The Rockford High School Choir will perform.

Contact the Stork House at 763-477-5383 or the historical society at storkhouse@cityofrockford.org to reserve a spot. Guests are encouraged, but not required, to dress for the period.

The Ames-Florida-Stork House winter hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 4 p.m., and otherwise by appointment.  Visit the Historical Society at www.rockfordmnhistory.org to find out more about this event, future programs and events, or local history through the eyes of three Rockford families.
