Delano Old Fashioned Christmas carries on despite c-c-cold

Delano’s Old Fashioned Christmas sprawled all over downtown on Saturday, Dec. 7. Some activities continued outside in bitter cold but the real action was inside at the Community Education Building, City Hall, Heritage Center, Delano Public Library, Love INC, St. Peter’s Church, American Legion and many shops in between. The celebration was so big that sub-zero wind chill could not defeat it. However, the Delano Chamber of Commerce canceled Friday’s outdoor Christmas tree-lighting event.
