Five Delano Middle School students were recently selected to participate in the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota State Honors Choirs.  Gianna Arthur, Lauren Kantrovich and Emma Rametta were selected from more than 500 statewide applicants to sing in the Children’s Honor Choir for grades four through six. They performed on Nov. 22 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi.

Eighth-grade students Eva Sundheim and Sarah Anderson were selected for the Girls Honor Choir for grades seven and eight. Students prepared the concert pieces and then met with their choir for a day for mass rehearsals and musical activities with guest conductors.  The Girls Honor Choir performed on Nov. 23 at Saint Andrew’s.

The concerts were held in conjunction with the American Choral Directors Association Minnesota Conference.
