Jason Mattson

Jason R. Mattson, age 35, of Waverly, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice House in Chaska.
Mass of Christian Burial held Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Peter (217 2nd Street South) in Delano with Father Paul Kammen as Celebrant of the Mass. visitation from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church; interment at the Delano Public Cemetery in Delano.
Jason was born on Sept. 1, 1978 in Waconia, the son of Robert and Diane (Herding) Mattson. On Oct. 8, 2005 Jason was united in marriage to Angela Barber in Delano.
Jason was an avid motorcycle rider enjoying time out on his Harley. He had a great bond with his two dogs, they meant a lot to him. Jason cherished his driveway time with family and friends. He loved to go out and hunt whenever he had a chance.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents Ray and Eva Mattson, Louis Herding.
Jason is survived by his loving family: wife Angela; parents Bob and Diane Mattson of Delano; brothers and sisters-in-law Jeremy and Shannon Mattson of Glencoe, Travis and Cady Mattson of Medina; grandmother Susanna Herding of Hankinson, N.D.; mother-in-law Sharon Barber of Delano; father-in-law Burton Barber of Hoyt Lakes; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Anne and William Chadwick of Delano, Tony Barber of Cokato, David and Laura Barber of Dayton, Donna and Michael Garrett of Delano; nieces and nephews Luke, Josef and Samantha Mattson, Lillian, Adela and Peter Mattson, Cory and Kyle Chadwick, Olivia and Vanessa Garrett; godchildren Adela Mattson and Aubrey Barnes; aunts, uncles other relatives and friends.
Casket Bearers Travis Mattson, Jeremy Mattson, Jesse Barnes, Blake Habisch, Troy Barthel, Sam Pany.
