Monday, Nov. 25

Report of a burglary of an occupied dwelling with the homeowner allegedly having been hit in the head by the suspect/s outside. No visible tracks in the hardened sleet/frost. Crime lab processed one area (a trailer) inside the garage. The victim appeared disoriented and was transported to the Maple Grove Hospital. The area/neighborhood was checked and tracked by a K-9 with no luck of any suspects or evidence. Nothing reported as missing and conflicting stories were received in regards to exact accounts of what happened. The initial witness/victim will need to be spoken to for further identifying information.

Officers responded to the area of Brockton Lane and David Koch for a three car crash. One driver asked for a private tow. Burdas was called for the driver. There were no injuries. Drivers Angela Jamison, 23, and Kelsey Martin, 22, received citations.

Officers were dispatched to a business in the 20200 block of Rogers Drive for a theft. Suspect was located inside business. Suspect was approached by loss prevention about the theft. Loss prevention asked suspect if he had any weapons on his person. Suspect stated he had a weapon. Loss prevention asked the subject to wait outside for police due to policy with weapons. Officers arrived and located the suspect inside the breezeway of the store. Officers searched suspect and located a weapon. Clayton Burkland, 21, was brought to loss prevention where he was arrested for theft.

Tuesday, Nov. 26

Dennis Strenge, 36, was cited for driving after suspension and no proof of auto insurance at Main Street and South Diamond Lake Road.

Officers responded to a three vehicle crash with injuries at 14080 Main St. One adult male was transported to Mercy Hospital via North Memorial Ambulance.

Victim calling in reporting that $58,000 was fraudulently sent out of the country on her business bank checking account by her Bank under the guise of using her name, signature and email address. Bank appears to have okayed the transaction without having made verbal contact with the victim/sender of the funds.

Three vehicle crash with injuries-rear end collision at Main Street and 141st Ave., vehicle one unable to stop, struck vehicle two pushing same into vehicle three. Vehicles two and three were stopped in traffic-left lane. Two passengers transported to North.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

Officers responded to an unconscious male who was in the back bedroom bathroom on the floor at 20200 block of Frost Point Circle. Officers advised CPR was started. The 83-year-old male with congestive heart failure died.

Abigail Wuollet, 19, was cited for expired tabs at Industrial Boulevard and Industrial Court.

Thursday, Nov. 28

Officers responded to grass fire at 25499 Hassan Pkwy. where party had a permit to burn but fire got out of hand and sparked below brush pile as well. Rogers Fire put the fire out. Party was advised by Fire Chief to not burn until there was 3 inches snow on ground being its so dry out.

House fire at 23660 109th Ave. caused by party trying to deep fry a turkey on his deck. Siding was extinguished by homeowner prior to arrival of police and fire.

Friday, Nov. 29

Officers were dispatched to shoplifter in custody at location at 20200 Rogers Dr. Robert Humphrey, 57, was transported to Hennepin County Jail and booked for PC possession of shoplifting tools and gross misdemeanor theft. See report for further details.

Theft of merchandise citation value $99.99 at 20200 Rogers Dr. Cited for shoplifting was Randal Wagner, 55.

Joshua Schieck, 21, was cited for no insurance and false information to peace officer regarding insurance, at I-94 and MM209.

Sunday, Dec. 1

Dispatched to a possible burglary at 21615 South Diamond Lake Rd. Three employees the closing store for the evening heard a shopping cart being pushed in the grocery area. Officers set up perimeter and searched building with Hennepin County and Brooklyn Park canines. No suspects located. Corporate security sensors detected movement in the grocery area at the time employees reported the incident. Corcoran Police, Dayton Police, Brooklyn Park Police, and Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office assisted.

Officer observed a vehicle accelerate unreasonably fast westbound on Diamond Lake Road from Commerce Boulevard. Officer observed an unlit driver’s side headlight. As the vehicle was getting pulled over the backseat passenger was reaching down in the backseat. Officer determined the occupant had covered a 12 pack of beer with a blanket. Officer determined they were driving to the movie theater where they were planning on drinking inside the movie. The driver admitted the beer was his. Officer issued Robert Stiefel, 19, a citation for possession of alcohol by a person under 21 years of age and an unlit headlight.
