Breakfast with Santa

NOV. 30 — B’s on the River, 455 County Road 27, Watertown, will offer a morning with Santa on Saturday, Nov. 30. Cookie decorating at 10 a.m. will be followed by a 10:45 a.m. story time and 11 a.m. picture time with Santa. Bring cameras. Cost is $10 per child. Space is limited. 60 Plus and Healthy Clinics

DEC. 3 — Wright County Public Health will offer a 60 Plus and Healthy Clinic from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Rockford Walnut Place Apartments, 8830 Walnut Place, Rockford. Public Health staff will trim toenails for seniors who have a health condition such as diabetes or are unable to trim toenails themselves. Staff will check blood pressures if needed and as time allows. Cost for foot care services is $15. Those who are unable to pay will not be turned away. from our clinic. 12 West Toastmasters

DEC. 4 — 12 West Toastmasters meets the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 11:45 a.m. at Unhinged Pizza (the former Pizza Ranch) at Delano Crossings retail center, located at Highway 12 and County Line Road. Meetings last one hour and feature communication and leadership through better listening, thinking, speaking. A second 12 West group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 7:30 a.m. at the Bohemian Wine Bar and Grill, located on Second St. north of Bridge Avenue in Delano. Helping Hands Food Shelf hours

DEC. 5, DEC. 12 — Delano Helping Hands Food Shelf will be open for standard service from from 1 to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 5 and Dec. 12. Helping Hands will be closed on Nov. 28, Dec. 19 and Dec. 26. In order to continue to meet demands of monthly food shelf usage, Helping Hands will not provide special Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets. Helping Hands encourages groups to hold food drives throughout the year and inform the food shelf of the effort. Cash donations allow the food shelf to purchase food from Second Harvest Food Bank at a much lower cost per pound than the average consumer can. Helping Hands is located in the basement of the Delano Community Education Building on Elm Avenue at Second Street in Delano. Crow River Christmas

DEC. 7 — Crow River Christmas activities will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 throughout the Rockford/Greenfield area.
