Police assisted State Patrol at a four-car injury crash at I-94 and County Rd. 144.
Community service officer responded to a resident at 27320 109th Ave. that states there is a German shepherd that hangs around her house in the evenings. She has no idea who’s dog it is thinks it is coming off of White Tail Drive right next to her house. It tore the screens out of her door last evening, she thinks her dog is in heat.
Driver stopped for no seatbelt at South Diamond Lake Road and Main Street. There was a fully loaded uncased firearm on the dash. Officer cited the driver and backseat passenger for seatbelt and the front seat passenger for possession of an uncased firearm in a motor vehicle. Cited were Clayton Ledford, 38; Justin Barger, 33; and Jonathon Spencer; 33.
Tuesday, Nov. 5
Daniel Savitski, 20, was cited for driving after suspension at South Diamond Lake Road and Rogers Drive.
Business at 12425 Ironwood Circle reported a mud motor taken from within a secured fenced in area. $1,300 loss and no suspect information.
A student reported hearing another student comment that he had a pistol in his locker. School administration searched the locker and did not find anything. School administration removed the student from class, searched his athletic locker, and found an e-cig. Officer assisted school administration with searching the student’s car. Located a bottle of liquid nicotine for the e-cig.
Officers were informed of a tree flaming from touching a power line by a passerby at Kelley Lane and Territorial Road. Fire Dept was dispatched as the arching was minimal as Xcel Energy were also Dispatched. Officers checked the branch periodically until Xcel arrived.
Wednesday, Nov. 6
Officers responded to a burn complaint in the 21800 block of Sugar Lane. Officers located a female party who was burning books. Rogers Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire.
Officer stopped a vehicle for improper lane change at South Diamond Lake Road and Northdale Boulevard. Officer observed the driver and passenger switch seats. Officer determined the original driver was driving cancelled license. Wilby Arnold, 53, was arrested and booked at the Rogers Police Department before being released.
Officer responded to the Rogers Activity Center for a call of a theft from vehicle. During the investigation, an uncased rifle was found in the victim’s vehicle. The theft was investigated and the owner/driver of the vehicle with the uncased rifle, Lucas Bame, 29, was cited.
Officers responded to a call of a car in the ditch near 141st Ave and the railroad tracks. Officer found that the driver of the car was intoxicated and had driven off of the roadway and down an embankment, and was trying to get out. During the preliminary investigation, the driver was uncooperative and was refused to follow orders and resisted arrest. Thomas Cartwright, 50, was arrested for DWI and Obstructing with Force. The car was impounded. The driver later submitted to an evidentiary test and was booked at the Rogers Police Department.
Thursday, Nov. 7
Officers responded to the business on an unwanted male at 13400 Rogers Dr. Officer made contact with the reporting party who was employee. The employee advised the truck driver parked in reserved parking. The employee told him to leave and the driver hit and dragged two signs in the parking lot damaging them. They are estimated to be valued at $250 each. The driver advised he was unaware if he hit them or not. Officers determined this was a civil issue but took photographs and uploaded them to the case file and helped with the exchange of insurance from the trucker.
Officer responded to a Theft at Kohls and advised subject/vehicle was southbound County Rd. 101 … Maple Grove PD and State Patrol were advised. Vehicle was stopped at Co Rd 30 / eastbound I-94. Officer arrived and Todd Moeller, 49, was arrested.
Friday, Nov. 8
Crime Sex Report Referred To Hennepin County Detective. Reporting party out of State at this time. Sexual Assault occurred from Oct. 10 through Oct. 21.
Saturday, Nov. 9
Officers responded to a call at 13645 Arbor Lane of a female who was assaulted, but then asked for Police to be cancelled. Officers located the house and spoke with two intoxicated males and an intoxicated female. Officers made the decision to transport the female home to prevent further incidents.
Officer was dispatched on a delayed hit and run traffic crash at 20200. All available evidence and information was collected. No suspect or vehicle has been identified in this case. Follow-up – Contacted Cabela’s Loss Control regarding possible video surveillance of parking area. No video is available for the location. Victim was re-contacted and advised of the lack of video and investigative leads.
Officer was running stationary radar northbound near Main Street and 147th Avenue when officer observed a southbound vehicle traveling faster then the posted speed limit. Officer clocked the vehicle at 83 MPH. Officer stopped the vehicle and driver admitted to 83 MPH and stated she was trying to make curfew. Juvenile driver was issued a citation for speeding.
