Corcoran Police reported a careless driving/open bottle arrest Thursday, Nov. 7 at 10:55 p.m. at County Rd. 30 and County Rd. 116. Arrested was Tamara Lee Henderson, 51, of Corcoran for careless driving and for having an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle.
The department reported a property damage accident Monday, Nov. 4 at 6:20 a.m. in the area of Cain Rd. and County Rd. 10. Driver was eastbound County Rd. 10, just west of Cain Road, when they observed one deer crossing the road. They slowed to approximately 20 mph as the deer crossed southbound on County Rd. 10. Then a second deer crossed and was struck by front right corner of bumper of the vehicle. Deer did spun into ditch, got up and continued south in field. No damage observed on truck.
The department reported a property damage accident Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 6:34 p.m. in the area of Highway 55 and Rolling Hills Rd. The vehicle was eastbound on Highway 55, just west of Rolling Hills Rd. when they struck a dead deer in the middle of the traffic lane. No injuries were reported.
The department reported a property damage accident Thursday, Nov. 7 at 4:28 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and County Rd. 10. Vehicle #1 was traveling westbound on County Rd. 10 and stopped at the stop sign and the intersection of County Rd. 19. Vehicle #2 was traveling southbound on County Rd. 19 and stop at the stop sign at County Rd. 10. Vehicle #2 struck vehicle #1 while crossing the intersection. Vehicle #2 failed to yield to vehicle #1.
The department reported a property damage accident Friday, Nov. 8 at 6:41 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 19 and Julie Ann Dr. While the Officer was on routine patrol he came across a dead deer in the middle of County Rd. 19, between County Rd. 50 and Julie Ann Dr. The Officer dragged the deer out of the traffic lane and advised dispatch to advise Hennepin County Maintenance pick up the deer.
The department reported a property damage accident Friday, Nov. 8 at 7:57 p.m. in the area of County Rd. 10 and County Rd. 19. The vehicle was westbound on County Rd 10 from County Rd. 19 when a deer ran north across County Rd. 10 and struck the front passenger side of their vehicle. No injuries were reported.
Theft of items was reported Thursday, Nov. 7 at 10:15 a.m. in the 194XX block of County Rd. 10. The reporting party stated they parked their vehicle in an open shed on their property last night at approximately 10:00 p.m. When they came out to the vehicle this morning, they found an unknown suspect had broken the rear window of the vehicle and stolen the reporting party’s driver’s license, a Discover credit card and $400 in cash. All items were in the center counsel of the vehicle, out of sight. There are no suspects at this time.
Theft of tires was reported Friday, Nov. 8 at 1:53 p.m. in the 100XX block of County Rd. 101. The reporting party stated that sometime in the past two weeks or so, a set of four snow tires and rims were stolen from a garage. The amount of loss is $1,200. There are no identifiable suspects at this time.
The department responded to a medical emergency Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 3:43 p.m. in the 201XX block of Dassel La. A 58 year old female was in severe pain. The patient was transported to the hospital by North Ambulance.
The department responded to a medical emergency Sunday, Nov. 10 at 5:23 p.m. in the 202XX block of Hackamore Rd. A 39 year old male was having withdrawal symptoms. The patient was transported to the hospital by North Ambulance.
The department responded to a report of a 911 call on Monday, Nov. 4 at 6:57 p.m. in the 195XX block of Country Circle E. Dispatch received an open line from a cell phone in the area. Officers arrived at the residence and found the cell phone called 911 accidently when the purse it was in was put down on a counter top.
The department responded to a report of a utility check on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 9:30 p.m. in the 232XX block of Larsen Rd. The reporting party advised they saw a large glow in the sky and their power was out. Officers checked the area and found a tree had fallen on the power lines off of County Rd. 50 in Greenfield.
The department responded to a report of shots heard on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 4:25 p.m. in the 213XX block of Meadow La. The reporting party stated someone is firing a gun, sounds like it’s coming from behind the residence. The reporting party heard 5 shots. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the source of the shots.
The department responded to a report of neighbor trouble on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 6:05 p.m. in the 78XX block of Maple Hill Rd. The reporting party stated their neighbor is throwing garbage into their lot. The neighbor stated they thought the reporting party threw the garbage on their first. Officers advised the neighbor to take the items back and to contact the owner of the park for disposal.
