WOW services include adult and child immunizations; health screening; blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol checks by appointment; pregnancy, health and wellness checks and child car seat checks by appointment. OCT. 31 — Haunted Acres is returning to Corcoran Lions Park, 7205 County Road 101, Corcoran for the Halloween season. Hours will be 7 to 10 p.m. on Oct. 31. Tickets will cost $10 or $9 with a non-perishable food donation for area food shelves. Caution: This attraction is for mature audiences only. Old photo restoration
NOV. 2 — Bring damaged or old photos to the Delano Heritage Center, Bridge Avenue and Second Street, at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2. Brad Dickinson will answer questions on restoring photos. He has restored photos for 30 years. The Delano Franklin Township Historical Society will sponsor his presentation.
NOV. 3 — Faith Community Church, of Independence, will host the Kingery Family Singers at its annual Pre-Thanksgiving Concert and pie fellowship at 5 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 3. Faith Church is located one mile west of Maple Plain at the intersection of U. S. Highway 12 and County Road 90. The concert is free, but an offering will be received. Mike and Chris Kingery and their eight children sing and minister together through music. They sing primarily gospel bluegrass music
while also incorporating fiddle, patriotic, Americana and a Capella.
NOV. 4 — Parents are invited to bring their toddlers, 18 months to three years, to a Snuggle Up and Read Toddler Storytimes from 10:30 to 10:50 a.m., Monday, Nov. 4. NOV. 5 — St. Peter’s School, 235 S. Second St., Delano, will open its kitchen and cafeteria to the public from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, for its annual election-night Mosticcioli Dinner. The all-you-can-eat menu includes Italian sausage and pasta, salad, fresh bread and a multitude of homemade desserts. Take-out will be available for voters and families. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages four to 11. Children under the age of four are free. Proceeds benefit St. Peter’s Catholic School.

She will provide guidance on online job searches, the hidden job market, how to create a resume, and skills that are transferable to current job openings. Roll up a delicate snowflake using thin strips of paper, glue, and a quilling tool. Personalize a card with a string of colorful fingerprint Christmas lights. Create a pierced tin ornament using a hammer, a nail and a can lid. Disguise a candy cane as a reindeer to hang on the tree. Loop together colorful strips for a decorative paper chain. All these choices and more will be waiting for you, just in time to finish for your seasonal decorating. NOV. 9 — “Shop for a Cure” at Dorothy’s Home & Craft Show Expo on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Rockford Township Hall, 3091 Dague Ave. SE, Buffalo. This is a fundraiser for the Delano Relay of Life (supporting the American Cancer Society). There will be door prizes and kids activities at this free event, which is in its 10th year.
Home Free “Fun-Raiser”
NOV. 9 — The 11th annual Be an Angel for Home Free “Fun-Raiser” will benefit Home Free programs for victims of domestic violence. The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m, Saturday, Nov. 9 wat Holy Name Church, 155 County Road 24, Medina. Home Free has served battered women and their children in the Plymouth area for over 36 years. The event will feature a spaghetti supper and desserts for a free-will offering, a speaker from Home Free and magician Matt Dunn. Silent and live auctions will offer gift baskets, holiday presents, garden ornaments and more. The benefit is free and open to the public. A personal care item or cleaning product for residents of Home Free will be welcomed at the door.
NOV. 10 — The public is invited to join in for a German Dinner Sunday, Nov. 10, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church and School in Corcoran. The menu includes: roast pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, German potato salad, red cabbage, saucer kraut, dinner roll, German chocolate cake or apple kuchen and a beverage. There will also be a craft and bake sale. Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $10 for adults and $5 for children 5 to 12 (children under 4 are free).
