Rockford city officials and staff recently recognized local manufacturing businesses with a breakfast celebrating Manufacturer’s Week.

Mayor Renee Hafften officially proclaimed the week of Oct. 20 as Manufacturer’s Week in the city of Rockford at a council meeting, relaying how these businesses benefit the community.

The city’s manufacturing community contributes substantially to the city’s tax base, provides many workers an equitable wage and promotes economic growth.

The breakfast, held at the Minnesota Diversified facility on the 6900 block of West Road in the Millennium Industrial Park, was followed by a short ceremony in which certificates of recognition were awarded to representatives from the city’s manufacturing businesses.
