Northwest Trails to host snowmobile safety classes

Northwest Trails Development Association is hosting youth snowmobile safety CD training classes Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16, at Medina Entertainment Center, 500 Hwy. 55, Medina. Hours are 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday (ask that a parent or guardian attend) and 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday.

Classes are also Friday and Saturday, Nov. 29 and 30, at Corcoran Civic Center, 8600 County Rd. 116, Corcoran. Hours are 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 (ask that a parent or guardian attend) and Saturday, Nov. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Need completed CDs and test.

CDs can be picked up at Corcoran City Hall or by calling the Minnesota DNR at 1-800-366-8917. Class fee of $ must be paid with registration. Fee will be waived by anyone joining NST, additional $5 must be paid to the DNR after attending the class. All instructors are DNR volunteers and are unpaid. Students must be 12 years of age before March 31.
